How much is a bike fit?

All our bike fits are designed to solve different problems. Which bike fit is best for you, depends on a few different factors, such as your injury history, cycling goals and current pains. Give us a call if you want a tailored recommendation based on you. Our prices can be found on our online booking plateform.

How long does a bike fit take?

Approximately 2 hours depending on the service. The scheduled time for each service is listed on our online booking page.

Should I bring my current bike?

Yes, you need to bring your own bike for all our bike fitting services. Please contact us for any questions related to your new bike purchase.

How do I book a bike fit?

We prefer that you make a booking online for the service that you are after. This way you can choose the time that suits you best. Our website should have all the information that you need to choose the right service for you. Please submit a question via our website if you cannot find the answers you are looking for.

Which bike fit do I choose if I want chiropractic treatment as well?

Clinical Bike Fit. You will get a comprehensive chiropractic assessment of your complaint(s) and treatment, as well as a tailored bike fit.

What types of bike can you do bike fits on?

We can perform bike fits on most bikes including road, gravel, cyclocross, mtb, track, triathlon and time trial bikes. We unfortunately do not do bike fits on bmx and downhill bikes.

Do you repair bikes as well?

No, we unfortunately do not have the space or equipment to offer bike repairs. We recommend you contact your local bike shop for this service.

Where is your clinic?

We’re located at 1/29 Stubbs Street, Kensington, Victoria. If you’re coming from another part of Melbourne, allow enough time to bring your bike and get ready for the session.

Can a bike fit make me faster?

It can. A position that suits your body may help you produce power more comfortably and maintain your effort for longer. For many cyclists, the biggest improvement comes from being able to train and ride consistently without discomfort cutting rides short.

What if I have an injury or pain while cycling?

Tell us about it before the fit. We’ll look at your injury history, how your body moves and what happens when you ride, then adjust your setup with those findings in mind. Depending on the issue, your plan may also include treatment, exercises or advice on managing your riding load.

How long does a bike fit take?

A comprehensive bike fit usually takes around two hours. This gives us time to discuss your goals, assess you on and off the bike, make adjustments and test how they feel. We’ll also explain the changes so you understand your new setup.

Do you fit every type of cyclist?

We work with beginners, commuters, road and gravel cyclists, triathletes, and experienced riders. You don’t need to race or ride a certain distance to benefit. We tailor the session to your bike, your body and the kind of riding you do. We currently don’t have the facilities to fit BMX or downhill bikes.

What problems can a professional bike fit help with?

Cyclists often come to us with knee, lower back, neck, shoulder, hand, foot or saddle discomfort. A fit can also address a position that feels inefficient or makes longer rides difficult. We assess what may be contributing to the problem and make changes that suit your body and riding goals.

Is a bike fit useful if I'm not in pain?

Yes. You may want to feel more comfortable on longer rides, improve your position for an event or make sure a new bike is set up well. A fit can identify things that are limiting your comfort or efficiency even when nothing currently hurts.

How does a professional bike fit differ from a shop fit?

A shop fit often focuses on choosing a bike size and setting basic measurements. Our process also considers your injury history, movement, strength, flexibility, riding habits and goals. We use that information to guide the adjustments, then check how the position works while you ride.

How long will it take to get used to a new position?

Many riders settle into a new position over two to four weeks. Some changes feel better immediately; others may feel unfamiliar at first because your body is used to the old setup. We’ll explain what you might notice and when to get in touch if something doesn’t feel right.

What happens during a bike fit?

We start by talking about your riding, goals and any discomfort or injuries. We then assess how your body moves and observe you riding your bike. From there, we adjust the parts of your setup that matter for your position, test the changes and explain our recommendations.

Should I get fitted before or after buying a bike?

Before buying is ideal, especially if you’re deciding between sizes or bike models. A pre-purchase fit can help you choose a frame and setup that will work for your body and riding goals. If you already own the bike, we can assess your current position and see what adjustments or components may improve it.

Will I need to buy new parts?

Not always. We’ll first look at what can be achieved by adjusting the parts already on your bike. If a different saddle, stem, cleat setup or other component would make a meaningful difference, we’ll explain the reason and what to look for. You won’t be expected to buy parts simply because you’ve had a fit.

Will one bike fit last forever?

A good fit gives you a useful starting point, but your needs can change. A new bike, injury, change in fitness or different riding goals may call for another look at your setup. Some riders also benefit from a review every 12 to 24 months, particularly if their riding has changed.

What should I bring?

Bring your bike, cycling shoes and the clothing you normally wear when riding. Also bring any insoles or orthotics you use on the bike. If you have relevant information about previous injuries, scans or treatment, that can help us understand your situation.

Can a bike fit help prevent injuries?

A fit can help reduce unnecessary strain by improving how your bike supports your body and how load is distributed while you ride. It cannot guarantee that an injury won’t occur, but it can address setup issues that may contribute to repeated discomfort or overload.

How do I decide whether a bike fit is worth it?

Think about what’s currently limiting your riding. If pain makes you cut rides short, your position feels uncomfortable, or you’re unsure whether your bike suits you, a fit can give you answers and practical changes. It may also be worthwhile if you’re investing in a new bike or preparing for an important event.
